Chana Dal Burfi Recipe

Ingredients Chana Dal Burfi:

  1. 1 cup chana dal (washed and soaked overnight)
  2. 1 cup Mishri powder
  3. 2 cup milk
  4. 1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
  5. 1/2 inch cinnamon stick
  6. 2 bay leaves
  7. 1/4 teaspoon Cardamom powder

How to cook Chana Dal Burfi:

  1. In a pan add the overnight soaked chana dal bay leaves.

  2. Add milk and keep cooking in low medium flame until boiled.

  3. Now cool down a bit then make a paste of it in a blending jar.

  4. Heat ghee

  5. Add the dal paste.

  6. Now keep cooking in low medium flame for 10 mins.

  7. Now add rock sugar powder and keep mixing until well combined or sugar is melted.

  8. After 5-7mins add cardamom powder again mix well. When the mixture becomes a dough switch off flame pour in a greased tray
