Daal Fara / Dal Peetha Recipe

Ingredients Daal Fara / Dal Peetha:

  1. For dough
  2. 1.5 cup Rice flour
  3. 1 cup water
  4. 1 tbsp clarified butter (desi ghee)
  5. 1 tsp salt
  6. Some dry flour for kneading
  7. For filling
  8. 1 cup chana dal soaked (5-6 hrs)
  9. 2 green chillies
  10. 1 pinch turmeric
  11. 1 tbsp ginger paste
  12. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  13. to taste Salt
  14. Handful chopped coriander
  15. For Tempering
  16. 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
  17. 1 tsp mustard seeds(rai)
  18. 8-10 curry leaves
  19. to taste Salt and red chilli powder
  20. 2-3 tbsp oil

How to cook Daal Fara / Dal Peetha:

  1. For dough- heat water with salt and ghee in it. Take off the flame and mix rice flour in it thoroughly so that there are no lumps remaining. Keep aside till cools down.
