Idli Sambhar Restaurant Style Recipe

Ingredients Idli Sambhar Restaurant Style:

  1. 1 cup Toor dal (sambhar dal)
  2. 2 tbsp tamrarind juice
  3. 1 small piece of jaggery
  4. to taste salt
  5. 1 small piece of jaggery tsp red chilli powder
  6. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  7. 2 tsp sambhar masala
  8. 6 tsp oil
  9. 2 tsp grated coconut
  10. 2 green chopped chillies
  11. 1 tbsp curry leaves
  12. 4-8 whole red chillies
  13. 4 cloves garlic
  14. 1 big chopped onion
  15. 4 chopped tomatoes
  16. 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  17. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  18. 1/4 tsp Asafoetida (hing)
  19. 1 cup chopped green gourd
  20. 1 cup chopped gourd (petha)
  21. 1/2 cup peas
  22. 1 big peeled & chopped brinjal
  23. 2 chopped potatoes
  24. 2 cup any seasonal vegetables
  25. 1.5 tsp chana dal
  26. 1/2 tsp rice
  27. 1/2 tsp black pepper corns
  28. 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
  29. 2 tsp coriander seeds
  30. 2 cloves garlic
  31. 2 green cardamoms
  32. 1/2 tsp methi dana
