Kashmiri Rajma Recipe

Ingredients Kashmiri Rajma:

  1. 1/2 cup Rajma beans
  2. 2 tomatoes
  3. 1/2 cup coriander
  4. 2 tbsp Oil
  5. to taste Salt
  6. 1/2 tsp Black cumin seeds (shahijeera)
  7. 1 tbsp Ginger
  8. 2 tsp coriander powder
  9. For dry masala
  10. 3-4 cloves
  11. 5-7 black pepper
  12. 1 big cardamom
  13. 2 small cardamom
  14. 1/2 inch cinammon stick
  15. 1 bay leaf
  16. 1/2 tsp Asafoetida
  17. as required Tomato coriander for garnishing

How to cook Kashmiri Rajma:

  1. Wash and soak rajma overnight (12-15hrs). And boil add bay leaf. Make 2 whistles and turn to slow flame For 20 mins. Release air automatically.

  2. Heat oil in a pan crackle black cumin seeds asafoetida and ginger paste saute. Now churn tomatoes in a mixie jar add coriander churn again and make smooth gravy. Add in a pan. Add salt Kashmiri red chilli powder and coriander powder mix well.

  3. Add 1tbsp. Boiled Rajma in tomato mixture and mash with masher for thick gravy mix well. Now add the rest of the rajma mix properly and water stir. Now roast all spices and grind make powder.add mix properly cover the lid and cook on slow flame for 15 mins.
