Oats Masala Khichdi Recipe

Ingredients Oats Masala Khichdi:

  1. 1 1/2 cup masala oats
  2. 5-6 curry leaves
  3. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  4. 2 medium onion
  5. 2 medium tomatoes
  6. 1 carrot
  7. 1 small capsicum
  8. 1/2 cup green peas
  9. 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  10. 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  11. 1/2 tsp salt
  12. 1 tsp lemon juice
  13. 2 tsp ghee

How to cook Oats Masala Khichdi:

  1. Collect all the ingredients.

  2. In a wok on medium-high heat add 1 tbsp ghee when hot add mustard seeds Curry leaves and finely chopped green chilli and dry whole red chilli.

  3. Add chopped onion on medium heat saute till golden in colour add dry ingredients salt turmeric red chilli stir well

  4. Now add finely chopped tomatoes and cook till gets tender.

  5. Add vegetables stir for 2 minutes add little water and on low flame let it simmer with cover the lid.

  6. Stir after 5/6 minutes or vegetables softened add 11/2 glasses of water let it boil.

  7. Add oats and stir continuously you will see oats has observed all the water add half glass of water more stir and switch off the flame add lemon juice mix well.

  8. Serve hot pour 1 tbsp of ghee it is optional but it improves the texture and flavor of dish.
